    New PC Challenger owner

My name is Steven and live on the Cooloola Coast QLD. Just bought a manual 2015 PC Challenger with 8000kms on it. It is pretty much stock standard. Happy so far and will replace an 06 TD Courier dual cab that was getting a little small in the backseat for the kids. Had the Courier for 9years and it went everywhere without issue, so hoping the PC can do the same.

    Tow a camper or a boat (1500kgs).

Am in the process of fitting the MM towbar, then start the transfer of bits from the Courier (UHF, ext phone aerial, EBC and VSR.

Look forward to picking some brains in the future.

    Thanks

Hope you have a good run. The PC is a good base to build a tourer on rather than a monster truck. All the bits and pieces are out there but you have to do some digging and research.

First thing is dump the tin foil dust plates for something more solid underneath. After that if heading off road then tyres. Though the factory originals are a very good road tyre with good wet and dry grip and long life.

        Welcome Steve,

You have a big advantage in buying and setting up a PC as there is an eight year history of what works and doesnot work both short and long term on the Challenger.
Setting up a "10 year keeper" as a family 4wd commuter/tourer that suits your individual needs can be expensive, my advice is to do it in the first 3 to 5 years of owning the car so you can get maximum use out of the mods. Chances are your needs will change over the next 5 to 10 years also so think about what can be easily adapted to those needs.

I look forward to your build and travel stories, getting the kids out into the outdoors particularly camping is a great life lesson/skill that will benifet them forever. Our kids are in their late 20's and still go camping and the eldest and her partner have just started 4wdriving also.

        All the best,
        OJ.
