OK -to fit the patch loom worked out easier than I thought - once I found the right way in for an NX - for me it was through the centre console.
- pull out cup holders
- remove two trim screws and gear knobs
- slide back trim panel to release front tabs and remove over handbrake
- reach up under dash and feel for the right plug
- compress locking clip and wiggle plug out
- connect patch loom
- reassemble

Hmm, so not possible through the side panel? I thought I was it when I was fitting my glass break/tilt sensor box there.

It depends how willing you are to bend up the skirt panel of the centre console base. EDIT: maybe if you stripped the under steering wheel dash panel, the skirt might be freed up and bend more?
I bent it up as far as I felt comfortable (which sometimes for me is a little too far.....), and was able to get half my forearm up there and touch the ecu plugs, but I couldn't get a purchase on the plug.
It really was much easier the way I did it - assuming I got the right plug ! - I couldn't see what I was doing. I could lay my head in front of the gear lever and see the line of three plugs, but not whilst I had my arm up there. (I'm assuming it's the only one like it, even though the wire colours seemed different. The car started OK, and didn;t display any weird lights).
Note - I have a manual, not sure if the auto gear lever fittings are different and affect accessNX GLX manual, T13, XD9000, Koni RAID, Ultragauge, ISI carrier, pioneer platform, Lithium auxillary

Originally posted by vladguan View PostI am able to make the plug-n-play patch loom to place between the D-223 plug and the ASTC ECU. I can make two types as follows:
TC-On Type 1: Uses a DPDT relay (NC terminals) that intercepts, so to speak, the green-white and gray wires when a switch is used to charge the coil. This type obviously requires you to supply your own switch (can get them from Air On Board eBay shop for the factory look), as well as an add-a-circuit fuse tap to tap into an existing ignition fuse.
TC-On Type 2: Does not use a relay and instead, have the corresponding header pins removed and the green-white and gray wires removed from the D-223 plug.
Update:
I can also make the TC off patch loom:
TC-Off Type 1: Active with an NO SPST relay so that there are two wires, one which grounds the gray wire via the relay and the other wire connected to a switch, which when turned on, energises the relay and closes the ground circuit.
TC-Off Type 2: Passive with a wire teed off the gray wire which can be taken to a switch and the other end of the switch to ground. So with the switch off, everything is usual and with the switch turned on, the gray wire is ground and disables TC.
I can combine the TC-On and TC-Off mods into one patch loom as well:
TC-On Type 1 with TC-Off Type 1: $72
TC-On Type 1 with TC-Off Type 2: $68
TC-On Type 2 with TC-Off Type 1: $68
TC-On Type 2 with TC-Off Type 2: $62
Postage is again, $10.
For obvious reasons, the use of the two mods is mutually exclusive.

Vlad

First post updated with new pricing and simplified arrangements. You basically get the TC Off mod for free if combined with the TC On mod.

i am keen but I must be a bit dim.I have factory locker,i want to be able to control traction control myself and have the switch illuminated when the switch is on...ie traction control off.
Will the dash light for traction control go on and off with the switch in the same manner as it does now...I know i may be up for a bit more postage.I will need instructions pref with pics2009 NT GLS(NZ) diesel LWB auto
