    NM/NP Bike Transport

Here's something I knocked up a few years ago to allow me to carry my bikes inside the car.

Basically just take the front wheel off and lock the forks to the holder.

Fits all 3 of my bikes including an XL frame 29er which just fits with mm to spare to the back door.

A Saris quick release fork holder, some steel angle and a few bolts.

Still allows the seat to be used normally without removal.

    Great idea Symo

I hadn't thought of doing it that way. I found I couldn't get two bikes in the back of my NP earlier this year so I knocked up a rack that attaches to the towbar.

It also works fine but that idea of yours is really neat. Good one.

    Cheers

Going through this myself now. Bought a second hand Rhino hitch mounted rack off of Gumtree. I've had the local metal market cut a longer length of 50x50x4mm square tube. Just need to drill a few holes and then bolt it back on to the rack. Simple bolt on bolt off for the mod, no welding required.
