    NM alignment issues

    Had the 01 NM aligned yesterday cause it was pulling to the left. Coming home from the station this morning I notice that it still pulls to the left almost as bad as before.

    I'm going to have my OME suspension kit installed soon since the current springs and shocks are totally sacked, but is installing this kit going to make this problem worse?

    As far as I know its never been wrecked or been off-road in any manner that would bend or break anything.

    (Oh, if it matters I'm in the US so this Paj is LHD!)

    Doug, once you fit the suspension kit, you will need to get it alligned again, so maybe find another place to get it done.
    I would have thought over there that it would pull to the right??

        Agree with others.. The OME is 40mm lift which the NM can handle no problems. I've only just replaced my OME that had done 150,000 ks always aligned o'k every 20,000ks. Replaced with TJM suspension last week which the coils are now H/duty, after having M/Duty, at least 45mm lift, (from standard height), had alignment all good.

          Some guys on a Montero/Pajero forum here in the US (4x4wire.com) keep trying to tell me the camber and caster are not adjustable...just toe. Are they really correct?

            On the Gen three the camber and toe-in is adjustable, not the caster.

              NP

              Hello, during the initial 5 years of ownership of my current Pajero NP, the vehicle had always pulled left. Shop after shop used, nobody was able to fix it. So, I tried to learn more myself (the manual and youtube sources).

              What I found out is that at least on my NP (Sep 2003), the lower front A arms have both points adjustable (the ones connecting to the chassis), so by pushing either ends out or inward, the wheel camber and caster are, to limited degree, adjustable. This is also explained on the manual.

              I got a truck and 4WD specialist to align it and they adjusted it (if not mistaken) =
              Left = -20 minutes (slightly negative) camber, 3 degrees caster
              Right = 0 camber, 2.5 degress caster

              The more negative camber coupled with more angled caster on left turns out to give enough counter effect that the vehicle now drives straight. The settings is I believe within the spec as well (or at least very close).

              I am not a qualified mechanic so I can't guarantee what I've just written. But I hope you can get a good shop who can fix that pull left. I deeply fell in love with the Paj again when it starts driving straight

                For some reason I thought you were asking about the rear The front caster IS adjustable.
