Looking for feedback from wiser heads than mine on GPS recievers. I have a fair understanding of mechanical principles but electronics are a bit outside my realm.
I am looking at a GPS receiver GLOBALSAT BU-353-S4. The unit comes in a 1 Hz or a 5 Hz version. The other specs are near identical. Can someone explain to me what benefit I should gain paying the extra for the 5 Hz unit. Should I expect noticeably better performance from the 5 Hz unit, or will this spec variation result in a minuscule difference in performance.
From my position of ignorance the 5 Hz module has a greater level of sensitivity. Making it easier to link up with satellites in challenging conditions. Is my assumption correct or am I on the wrong path with this?
