Sakura FC - 1104 fuel filter specs

Hi. I have been using Sakura filters on my diesel NT for a couple of services now because of the price. I am about to fit the Donaldson 3 micron secondary fuel filter kit and became curious as to the filtering quality of the Sakura filter given its incredible price. Sakura Australia don't quote the filter specs so I emailed them and they got back to me very promptly.

The specs for FC - 1104 as supplied by Sakura Australia
Nominal micron rating (50% efficiency) = <1.5 microns.

Absolute micron rating (98.7% efficiency) = 6.47 microns.

This filter fits the NT common rail diesel and I reckon probably all CRD Pajeros.

I don't know what the retail price of the filter is, but I buy the kit which has oil, air and fuel filters for $32 trade price from CoolDrive. I will keep using it now I know how well it filters.

Thanks for posting Sakura fuel filter specifications.

Specs look better than factory fuel filter.

It doesn't meet 3 micron 95% efficiency as recommended by Parker Racor for CRD so a secondary filter would be recommended.

None that I know of.

Ryco Z699 and Sakura above would come close.

From memory Z699 is rated as 4 micron 94% efficiency.
