    Bonnet catch breaking off?

Just read a report on another forum of several cases of the bonnet catch breaking at the weld to the bonnet and allowing the bonnet to fly up.
Apparently the 'safety' catch utilises the same suspect catch.

Has anyone heard of this as a common issue ?

It's been reported once on here that I know of. Not what you'd call a commom issue.
    Cheers, John.

      Thanks John,
I thought it sounded a bit 'one of'.
I couldn't find a reference to it here with a search.

It may have been lost in a forum upgrade a few years ago. It was a while back. A guy was using one to do gas pipeline inspection work from memory and broke just about everything on the paj.
        Cheers, John.
