This setup would allow for a heavier duty connecting rod to the rear gps mount.Dicko. FNQ

I use an 8" Samsung tablet mounted by velcro tabs over the existing information screen which I hardly ever use. Mounted this way it's easy to remove and has never looked like coming off over some bad corrugations and high country tracks. I run Ozi Explorer using the free 25k resolution maps available from Get Lost Maps.
