    Transfer case censors

    After the machanic put his computer on my mm Pajero it came up with fault code number2 transfer case censor, car not selecting 4 x4 ,orange light starts flashing, how do access censors on top of transfer case for replacement

    You have to drop the rear gearbox mounting and lower the engine to get access to the switches. Not easy. Firstly, check the electrical connections further out from the gearbox - it may save a lot of work if you find a fault elsewhere.

      Erad meant - Lower the gearbox - not engine; supporting the rear of box and lowering till you're comfortable you're not doing any damage elsewhere
      02 NM 3.2, Auto, Exceed, I/C and sump guards, L&B 2" lift, 265/75/16 OPAT2.

        Correct - I meant to lower the rear of the gearbox - carefully.

            Thanks for the tip.

            I'de be doing this too, mine does not light up any on the dash. I found 1 sensor wire that is cut when I was checking the OD solenoid.
            Nothing beats Doing It Yourself.... Tuned 4M40 and 4D56T WIP
