    3.2 DID miss at idle

    Hi guy

My NS shorty has a big miss at idle when dead cold. When the motor is warmed up the miss is almost negligible. The car runs great other than that. I used to find that adding two stroke to the diesel seemed to eliminate the miss but now it doesn't seem to matter.

Are you getting any codes reported?

Is it losing fuel prime? Check the primer pump on top of the fuel filter and check if it's solid to push/pull or if it's lost primed fuel from the filter. When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

Possibly a suction control valve issue.

        Thanks for the replies.
All filters are changed every 5000 klms so don't think the problem is there.
I'm thinking SCV also I think the twostroke used to lubricate it a bit and somehow stop the miss.
I changed the SCV when I removed and cleaned the inlet manifold. The one I took out was working fine. I did buy this one on ebay...it is a reputable brand and it's been in the car a few years now.

A while ago I thought I would try the original SCV again but for some reason the car just didn't like it.

Any opinions on where to buy a quality SCV at a reasonable price???
        Cheers
