    CAN OBDII Scan Tool

Tried my diagnostic code reader on my 2005 Challenger and only got a 'linking error' msg. Can anyone confirm if these readers are compatable with the Challenger or do Mitsubishi use something different?

The reader works fine on late model Suzi Swift and a 2001 Barina (euro).

Good chance it's not OBDII - like a number of other MM vehicles

The NP pajero isn't OBDII so chances are the chalnger isn't either. They use a OBDII plug but the protocol seems mitsu's own. I think the later NS,NT Pajero's are OBDII though

Bugga! I thought all vehicles would have been only OBDII after 1996.
I now notice the workshop manual refers to a MUTII reader.

        Trust Mitsubishi.
