Manual gearbox ratios?

Guys,
I have a 3lt NH a 3.5 NJ (being rebuilt) and a 3.5 NP. I like the gearbox ratios in the NP, third is nice for towing up hills, what is third in the NJ box? Is an NM same ratios as an NP said like to find the later box to put in the NJ?

This would only work if the diff ratios were the same or very close, otherwise you will not get the drive experience you arre after. Just changing from 4.636:1 ratio to 4.875:1 ratio is only 5% but 5% can have a huge effect on engine/driveline performance. Changing from a 30" tyre to a 32" tyre is the same as a 6% change in diff ratio, how many people have gone up 2' in tyre diameter only to find out the engine runs out of puff halfway up a hill!
Mitsubishi used a great range of diff ratios across a range of Pajero's depending on engine type (petrol or diesel) of all capacities and outputs, manual or automatic transmissions..
