Most body on chassis design 4wds do not have a lower front coil spring insulator pads but because of the monocoque construction and the independent suspension of the Pajero Gen 3/4 and this construction transmits much higher levels of road vibration and noise into the cabin. MM try to reduce this noise transmission by fitting rubber lower spring pad on both front and rear suspensions. Whilst the emission of the lower Spring insulating pads is not dangerous it does mean more noise is transmitted into the cabin.

I think I'll get some new ones from Mitsubishi and fit them back in.
