Clunking noise when backing off throttle

Hi all. Seeking some advice please.

Have noticed when crawling along through traffic, accelerate slowly and then take foot off accelerator, that there is a noticeable clunk noise. Can also feel it through the car. Seems to be more noticeable when have a full tank of diesel. Vehicle has only done 9000Klms. DiD auto.
? is this a common problem, and if so, what is the fix.
    Thank you.

Hey Mate i noticed my NX does this as well. the noise is only present when the tank is near full. when close to empty it doesnt do it at all. freaks the missus out but im pretty certain its just the fuel sloshing about.

Sounds like it could be diff mounting bushes. The Falcons & Commodores with Independant suspension do it as well.

If the noise is only at a particular fuel level, it is probably only fuel sloshing around & hitting the top of the tank, so no drama - normal.

If it is at all fuel levels, check the left rear wheel hub nut is tight. This is a common problem. It needs a big spanner & lots of force, so best to get a workshop to do it if you don't have the large socket & wrench.

In my 2013 NW I get a bit of clunk, almost like a plastic cup hitting on a table, its not a deep 'thud' sound but more of a pop. I put it down to some slop in the driveline somewhere, probably rear diff. Mechanic looked over it and said everything seemed ok.
In the last few months I've noticed a bigger clunk which happens at about 55km/h as the gearbox goes from 4-5th gear, perhaps as torque converter unlocks/locks. Its a big kick & 'dip' feeling from the rear like you've just gone through a spoon drain or pot hole, can feel it through the seat.

Some of these earlier Aisin autos had a rough change into 5th at low revs/throttle.
The dealers had a software update to fix it.
A "battery reset" by disconnecting for 5 minutes may also help.

I spent several days chasing a clinic in our sons car, only happened when turning right he said and de accelerating turned out to be the yellow hooks on his tow bar lol many a day driving in circles in car parks.
now I listen to ours clunk on the paj when I come into the driveway.
