Looking for advice/recommendations on a new exhaust for our 2011 NT.
It has had no upgrades done to engine or exhaust
Fuel consumption is still good.
Power seems to be the same but possibly down some over time.
Serviced regularly.
It tows a 2.5t boat no problem.
The reason to change the exhaust is when the car is at idle it stinks extremely bad of fumes. No smoke at all just fumey
Current KM: 297000
Have had the manifold cleaned professionally approx 55000km and they said that it was the worst build up they'd seen. This hasn’t really helped the smelly fumes.
Ive been told the smelly fumes may be due to the cat converter.
My plan was to
- Change Cat or maybe even whole new 3" front to back inc Cat. No DPF in this model.
- Pull the manifold off myself and clean again then install catch can.
Ive seen the xForce turbo backs for $700
Also the king browns for $1399
Whats the thoughts on these?
Anyone used either before?
Or do i just go a new hi flo cat maybe?
Dont want to be cheap, but like most, $$$ will play a big part.
