Hi All,
I decided to give my rear brakes a go. The rear disk had about 1.8mm left on them, so I thought I'd do rotors, pads, braided brake lines and rebuild the calipers.
It was a pretty easy job, although I did stuff up and left the handbrake on when trying to remove the first rotor. I got it off, with considerable effort, but I broke some pins in the handbrake and bent the backing piece/splash guard.
Easy fix, but my stubbornness and brut force did cost me a day in trying to find replacement pins.
One of my dust boots had failed and Im guessing the caliper wasn't working, or barely working.
The car stops great down, love the pedal feel and how quick she pulls up.
Special mention and thanks has to go to Jimmyc83 who provided me with the part numbers, quantities and some tips and Stoneman for coming around and giving me a hand.
