Had my home made one in for the last 65000km. No issues because of it.

Had one small issue and required a reburn and this can only be done if a) you have the dpf in or b) you have resistors to trick the temp sensors they are at the required burn temp.

Didn't notice any power increase, just did it for peace of mind. Sometimes engineers take things a step to far and it just needs to be simplfied.

If I could afford an exhaust and retune I would get them done.

I didn't notice any real power difference.
Was really easy to fit, just removed sensor and tubes, be very careful when removing rear temp sensor.
I sprayed wd40 on all the bolts every day for a week before removing them and they came off easily.
New delete pipe fits straight in with no mods.
I just had to bend 1 of the hanging brackets because I thought it was hanging too low.

I've got a chip tuning delete pipe and haven't had the ecu flashed. I also haven't had the factory recall ecu upgrade that does a burn every few thousand kms - so hopefully I won't get issues.

I had the inlet cleaned and DPF filled at the same time and it was like driving a new car - way more power. Also fuel went down from around 12's/100 to around 10's/100 on highway driving.

I've always worked on the basis that I might need to put it back one day so I'm reluctant to do anything too radical plus some members on here have seemed to have no end of bother with ECU reflashing.

Cheers

Sam

Default Help

So friday my engine light came on and the garage said it was the EGR valve which needed replacing. $735 parts alone. then yesterday my DPF light came on, started to flash and car went into "limp" mode. Now i do alot of motorway driving so don't understand why this would have happened.

what are my options?
for the DPF I've read about cleaning the DPF pipe with a power washer, does this work? or replacing it like for like but this is VERY expensive or even a delete pipe? but would i need some ECU work with the delete pipe?

for the EGR vavle,
i could replace it, but do i need it? or remove it and blank it off. but will i need management work to get over the dash lights?

this is the first issue ive had with the car but my thoughts are do i replace and stay stanard or change it to moit future issues? please help

I joined the pressure differential pipes together so never does a burn due to blocked filter only does the kilometer burns.
What did you join the pressure pipes together with ?
