    Hi Jason
We went out to the Aussie Disposal checkpoint for quite a while.
Back to base camp and then tried to find another checkpoint out near the highway. Couldn't find it so took off to 4.1 (Nudist Colony) until daylight.
    Tiring but great wknd.
I presume you were in section 3.

Your checkpoint was well done with great costumes, good work.

Only the really switched on teams found you

BTW, were you Tweedledum or Tweedledee?

Really? I thought you guys actually walked into the CP... and that was because???? couldn't you find the track either...
Would have been extremely hard without the correct electronic map....so hats off for fighting your way through

.... So did you last the event this time? plenty of fuel and sleep? You would have been still going when i fell into bed at 6.30.
.. at least you were enthusiastic (and that was written on the CP checksheet so thanks!!!!!) - some teams (or members of teams) were grumpy. I received comments from two CP's about some people....

Jason has provided photographic evidence that my car was at said checkpoint, even without the up to date map

Plenty of fuel this time, we finished all stages too with time to spare, which is a first. It's unfortunate that some people were grumpy with you guys, it's not like you're getting paid to be there..

                Good times!

Just throwing up a few more photos because I can.

                  Dinner time for the competitors.

                  Competitors having dinner.

The KNox Mitsubishi boys fly the banner.

                  Competitor crossing the creek

                  .
Aussie Disposals checkpoint. This one was a laugh as they were all dressed up as soldiers and playing war movies on a big screen.

One of the activities for the competitors at the Aussie Disposals checkpoint was to put up a small dome tent and then pack it up again, all timed mind you.

Some of the navigation gear the guys run in their trucks.

Misery did well throughout and expect a good result from the guys

Good to see the guys from Triple Diamond Club of NSW come down and have a crack. And finished the event!

Dom's fantastic ML Triton from Triple Diamond club.

The NT with the 4WD Action boys on board did exceptionally well with this being basically standard, no lift or suspension mods on this one but survived the gruelling 24 hours of off road. Expect a reasonably good result from this one.

Did you open the red at teatime and have a 'pickle' nap for the last 12 hours of the event ?????

As for good results - tonight will tell...

Got a couple of night shots but was with Frank and trying to get ahead of the contestants but not drive the same tracks. Mind you that took a while.
Ended up at 4.1 about 1am and everyone was pushing out zzzzz.
Had two cans (only drinks I had for the day)and passed out asleep in the drivers seat.
Got woken up by a blonde in a Nudist Colony about an hour and a half later .
Took a few more shots when they come through.
THink it was Jason's checkpoint we were looking for around 10.30pm but couldn't find it so buggered off to 4.1 via Greendale and Blackwood.

And a great result from these guys getting a credible fith overall.
Not bad for a standard NT up againt a lot of modded vehicles.
Congratulation to Mitsubishi for giving them a vehicle that could stand the rigours of the 24 hr event.
