Microphone not connected

Hi
Just bought a 2017 Pajero sport exceed and trying to set up voice recognition. Keeps saying to connect a microphone. Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix. Ive gone through all the settings and microphone is showing as NC
Any help much appreciated

Take it back to the dealer.

10 years ago I bought a brand new Golf GTD, but couldn't get the bluetooth to connect properly. Took it back, was told "it's easy - I'll show you!"

Then "That's not working - we'll get back to you" followed by "Bring it in for a replacement."
