    Challenger 17in rims

I have picked up 4 challenger 17x7.5 inch rims. I think they are an offset of 38. Will they fit a NT diesel Pajero?

Maybe? Some 17” Triton and Challenger rims fit others to not!
If they clear the front brake calipers then they will fit the rear.
P38 offset vs P46 offset is only 8mm difference so no problems but you should not mix different offsets especially on the same axle.

So the offset of the challenger rims mean it would be a wider wheel base or a narrower one?

Challenger P38 rims will widen the Pajero track by 16mm total.

Those are PB Challenger 17 x 7 1/2 +38 rims and do fit Gen 4 Pajeros. There was a few photos on here of one wearing those rims painted black a while back. I have personally test fitted my identical rims to a mates NW for interest. You should be fine.
