    End of the line?

It's been a fixture on Aussie roads for almost 40 years. Alas, the venerable Mitsubishi Pajero is expected to end production in 2021.

Who knows it might reincarnate to something better some time.

"...the company could not justify further investment given the market shift towards "crossover" recreational vehicles, rather than highly capable off-roaders."
This for me is the worst part.

So, for punters like me who don't want a crossover SUV, where do we go next? Landcruiser? Patrol?

Toyota are rubbing their hands with glee.

Maybe not if they drop V8 petrol and diesel in the Landcruiser and replace it with a V6 diesel and twin turbo V6 petrol hybrid.

Looks like i've purchased a collectors item

When you think about the latest developments with Misty, it's not really surprising.

Reading that it just goes to show Pajero was fairly big business.

I have been told by a sales person in a mitsubishi dealership that they will still get a new version in the coming months with Exceed back as an option. However, after that it's finished.

I never trust these sales reps so hard to tell if there will be one last mighty Pajero 2021 special edition ;-)
