I had a pretty good weekend last weekend.

First off, I was given a Lacey Belt Sander. This is a wood working machine, my other expensive hobby.

Then on Saturday, I bought a 15CFM 3 cylinder Clisby Compressor (Pump Only) for $100. I need a 3HP motor to drive it, but I got a new one on Ebay for $167. $267 to upgrade from a 6CFM to a 15CFM, gotta be happy with that.

Looks like a handy machine. I think I know what your next purchase will be – a dust extractor.

      Cheers

        Hey Geoff,

I have a Dust Extractor, and quite a few other woodworking machines. The Lacey Belt will need a bit of work before I have it up and running, it currently has a 3 phase motor on it, so that will need to be replaced. Ive drawn up my shed and my machinery on CAD and worked out a plan but it means emptying the shed and a major clean up. That's about 5 years over due.

A lot of my gear is on wheels so I can work in the carport in front of the shed, as the shed is only 6mx6m and it's full as.

Here's my plan. Im open to suggestions.

The Red blocks cant be moved, or cant be moved easily.
The Green blocks are all on wheels.

          Hey Dicko,

I do all sorts of stuff, from furniture to Garden boxes. Ive been doing woodwork for about 20 years but Im self taught. I'm a boilermaker / welder by trade so I have adapted my skills.

Last year, I started doing a couple of TAFE Courses. I completed Certificate 2 in Furniture Finishing and started Certificate 3 in Furniture Making. Continuing Furniture Making this year and starting Certificate 3 in Furniture Finishing.

          Learning and enjoying the courses.
