Travelled to Lorne via the Great Otway National Park during the Melbourne Cup weekend. We started the off road journey from Anglesea.
The tracks were Denham Track --> Loves Track --> Gentle Annie Track --> Moggs Creak Track --> Coalmine Track. Joined the Great Ocean Road near the Memorial Arch and drove about 5km ti join the Big Hill Track back into the Otway State Park driving inland. Then took the Deans Marsh-Lorne Road to Lorne where we spent the weekend.
Stopped at the Distillery Creek Picnic Area for lunch. There were a few walking tracks starting from the picnic area.
We loved the drive, the forrest, views and everything. It was a weekend well spent. We've just started off roading and would love to do the Oodnadatta Track to Coober Pedy next.
