Do u have a service manuel like a haynes or gregorys? Coz they will tell you how much free play it should have and how to check and adjust....
Il have a look in mine if u dont have 1
alls they said was something about the rubbers in the a arms being shagged they reckon the rubbers act like to threads that lock together so everytime you hit a bump they screw in and out of each other??? it didnt make much sense to me
No don't have to take em out to see, just lift the car up and get a ouch bar and see if they have a lot of movement in them or if they have big spits or cracks..
yeah paj is not as bad as pedders said, i went over it on saturday and alot of the things pedders knocked backed where still pretty much new, they told me my rear shocks where leakinh which there not they told me my front ones where soft but when i jumped on the front of the car it was stiff as, alls im going to change is the tie rods inners and tie rod ends, pitman and idler arms, ball joints and control arm rubbers then the whole front end it pretty much new, oh and still got to replace my right hand cv which started clicking at easter lol, how hard are the control arm rubbers to do yourself or should i just pay someone to do it since the upper ball joints need pressing in anyway, oh and will also need a steering box, mine is dinted where the rubber seal in the bottom is, i guess pedders wasny bullshitting about that part
