    Tyre size

Hi. My recently purchased 2k Exceed has 275x75x16 tyres fitted. On the tyre placard it says tyre size is 275x70x16. Would a bit more height be the only advantage with what is fitted and are they legal.
The tread is almost worn to its limits and i will be replacing them. They are also very noisy. Thanks.

275/75R16 is a common change. Slightly taller gearing (only a few percent) but as you say the main plus is an extra 10mm (ish) of clearance.

If you never go offroad, don't bother. If you will tow near the limit (2T?), don't bother.

Otherwise I think it makes sense. I went that size on my NL.

      Never seen a 275/75R16!
      Typo???
265/75R16 is a plus size for the standard size 265/70R16 and yes it is a legal fit.
If you have an auto the torque convertor will spend more time unlocked which isn't ideal if you are towing regularly.

True OJ. 265 is what I have. And a poor memory apparently.
