  • Changing MMCS unit- HELP steering controls /wiring etc

After been frustrated with MMCS gps software and general bluetooth voice quality im wanting to chang the whole unit to one that runs Win CE.

My biggest issue seems to be figuring out what kind of system the mmcs employs for Steering wheel controls.
    Is it Can bus?
Also anyone have a wiring diagram for the mmcs so I know how to wire up new unit?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
I have found a unit with everything I want for around the $450 mark.

    Thanks, Matt

what are you doing with your mmcs unit (is it from an Exceed with Rockford sound)
NS Exceed (03/07 build) - ARB Bull Bar (Colour Coded), Tough Dog Suspension (Ajustable Shocks) 2" lift (more like 3" in the back ) NOW REPLACED WITH OME and much happier IPFs with HID upgrade - Bushman fridge with Extension, Rhino Cross Bars - No DPF probs - Duel Battery set on the way.

The block diagram which shows the connections to the MMCS is here:

See the "activating voice controls" thread for details of the steering wheel buttons.
