    Random intermittant cutting out?

My Pajero is runs fine, revs up without hesitation, doesn't breakdown under load or anything like that, but if I'm at a sustained speed for a while, the engine randomly cuts out, then cuts back in and out until I let the accelerator go, wait a second and then depress it again. All is fine and the engine climbs back up to speed for a while.

Its running a 3.5 SOHC, Using a Challenger as a donor, so you could say it's either a Challenger or MK Triton.

Any ideas as to whats causing it?

sounds like a wiring problem to the fuel pump , which may not be running at full pressure.
also check the sock filter in the tank , may be blocked

you should get the fuel pump pressure tested, as it could be low pressure or the pump could be on its way out also. you need to start somewhere as its either fuel or elecrical related.
