Radio turns off when lights turn on

Hi All

My son in law has a PA challenger 2004 and the bloke installed the radio has wired it up so when the lights are turned on the radio loses power.

If the lights are off it works as it should.

Any Ideas ???

Does any one have a radio wiring diagram with relevant colour codes.

At a guess, he's picked up an earth through a light globe - with the lights off, the radio is earthed through the globe filament, but once the lights are turned on the radio earth hits 12V.

Is it the parking lights that cause the radio to fail, or only the headlights?
