"new posts" doesn't seem to work

The new posts feature doesn't seem to highlight new posts since my last visit to the forum

for example, there was a new thread made 17 minutes ago in the Gen 2 forum, but it shows up as greyed out like there aren't any new posts

Is it not working or have I understood how it works wrong?

that is all I use when I come to the forums to speed up the time it takes to see what's new..

in fact, this thread was at the very top when I just clicked it now...

ah fair enough... maybe I have timedate settings wrong or something

other issue I have is i can't accept friend requests
