    16" rims on SWB NS

Just to confirm, all Triton/early Gen 3 Pajero 16" alloy OEM rims will fit on the SWB NS ?

Only difference is the ET between Triton (38) and Paj (46) ?

All OEM 16's only come in 7" wide ?

And with aftermarket steel wheels max is ET30 ? But incorrect CB @ 111 ?

So I am better with Triton 16's as it will only stick out 2mm more than the Paj ?

Don't like the ride on the OEM 18's at all.

With Triton wheels the outer face of the rim will move out 8mm per side with ET38 offset rims. With aftermarket ET30 then the rims face will move out 16 mm per side which means your wheel track has increased by 32mm. This is a lot on an IFS suspension, need to check legalities and also clearances on each full lock and on suspension compression to make sure you have clearance.

    cheers, OJ.

You can add Gen 3 NM or NP 16" Pajero rims to your list - but will only fit SWB Gen 4.
The older NM or NP rims are not too hard to find.

2mm per side, you need to take away the 1/4" as narrower Triton rim is 7" and Paj is 7.5" wide on the NS.

Excellent...don't mind the early 5 spokers in 16's....'better ride, more choice and much cheaper offroad tyres....

Have been running NP 16 inch wheels for a couple of years now. More than happy. A huge improvement off road after the 18's.

Was there much difference in tarmac handling when you went down to 16's?

                G'day,
Is this also the case for a LWB? I have a set of 32" muddies from my NP that I am hoping will fit me NS.
                Cheers,
                Andrew

Thanks Patagonia. I did wonder about the calipers.
