    Front Suspension

    Hey guys!

I'm a bit new when it comes to suspension. I bought a stock 1996 Pajero, rebuild the engine and got some 33" tyres! Fits really nice but she need a lift. Got my hands on 1.5" coils from a Gq patrol what raises the back really nice! Did some research and I'm gonna need some Toyota Surf shocks tomorrow for the back! I just raised the front by wining up the torsion bars, but I think I'm gonna need some lifted shocks for the front as well? What do you guys recommend? What kind of shocks shall I get for the front, or is there something else what I can do? Hopefully somebody can help me out!

    Cheers, Robin!

stock shocks will take a lot of lift in the front, infact you will need to do some serious work to require longer front shocks..... in the area of around 6" of lift - and that is a whole new ball game for a gen 2 - my custom front end has given me nearly 5" of down travel over stock and it is only there I run out of shock length, with 20mm longer (open length) shocks I can get just over 6" of extra down ward travel from the stock limit but the angle on the CV is getting pretty aggressive and I dont know if I can go there - I did space my shocks to that point with a 40mm diff drop in my last wagon but that brought on other issues I am not interested in dealing with so I have held back on this one for now
1994 NJ 3.0 now with a 2000NL 3.5 engine and driveline, 2.5 catback, 32" MT Deegan 38's, 1" body lift, front diff drop with front tension rods indexed and cranked an 3", 3" on the rear coils

1998 NL 3.5 blisterside, running a 6g75 (3.8) with M90 supercharger at 14psi, 305.70.16's on -44 rims 3.5" suspension lift, Custom Bull bar, winch install, custom front control arms, NJ GLS flares and some camping gear in the back
