What tyre pressure are you running?
LT's have to be pumped up higher than standard passenger tyres.

I have them up at 40psi cold, that’s plenty for the load. I did try 45psi for a few kms but the ride was way too harsh. I would assume with the MT’s weighing in at 28kg vs 17kg for the HT’s the extra rotational mass is the culprit along with the taller tyre size.

Default Does fuel economy improve from new?

Just wondering if any PajSports owners of a few yrs, from new, have any experience of the fuel usage decreasing slightly as the vehicle “wears in”.

No, mine seems to be getting worse. But then again I keep making it heavier.

Still wondering if there is any marked difference in fuel consumption between 2H and 4H for the PS.

I drive in 4H most of the time, a result of driving a Prado for many years I reckon.

Surely there must be, if there was not then why would MM have the selection of 2H, as it could always be left in 4H.

I haven't had my PS for long enough to make a comparison between 2H and 4H, but I can say that the Outlander we have has negligible fuel consumption between them ... we just leave it in 4H all the time, and that's what I'm planning to do with the PS.

Yes I'm now averaging about 8.1 measuring tank to tank after 70,000 k's.
I was getting about 8.5 after 10,000 k's on the clock.

Default Speedo error & lts/100km

Thanks Nairbr.
Last week I purchased an ex MMAL MY18 5 seat GLS with only 13300km on the odo & MMAL Warranty till Sept2023, yet to have its first service. I’ve only done 400 Km or so in it so far, so yet to do a refill. Will be curious to see what lts/100km I get.
According to my iPhone GPS the speedo is about 5% out, cos sitting at 110km/h on Hume Fwy many other cars were passing me and GPS was reading 105km/h. Anyone else noticed what their speedo error is?
I’ll be measuring tank to tank and taking the “on dash” fuel economy reading as 5% inaccurate +/-.
Dragonjon. Do you have any figures for fuel consumption while towing your 1600kg van in 2H vs 4H? My van is also 1600 ATM with reasonable aerodynamics (Vista RV) compared to most box shaped vans.

I think you will find "most" or maybe "all" stock speedometers read low on purpose. The odometer should be reliable till you change tyre size.
