Default IC guard / sump guard mounting thread come adrift in chassis

Hi all,

I have had the Bushskinz IC and sump guards on the Paj for a while. After a recent trip I checked the bolt tightness, and it looks like I must've had a heavy hit to the IC guard.

The mounting bolts for the overlapping section were not in good shape. One was bent and one seems to have had the chassis mounted female thread come adrift. The former was easy to rectify, but the latter looks to be problematic for me!?!?! There seems to be no way to get inside the little cube section of chassis that holds the female thread for this bolt and for a intercooler mounting bolt.

Any ideas out there?

Thanks,
fazza

This has come up before. The answer is to use a rivnut. Google it and all will be revealed. Maybe a search on here will give the answer. I have a few in my spares box now. Bunnings sell them and you can make up your own install tool. You-tube also may help.

Try this link.
