Looking to buy - Tow bar ratings

Hey All, I'm looking to buy an NP Pajero. I've got my eye on a couple at the moment, both 2003 3.5l Petrol models with <200,000 kms. Wouldn't mind a diesel, but they're not in price range (unless they have high mileage).

This will be used to do some light towing duties - towing a Jayco Eagle (around 1200kg) a couple of times a year, no more than 200 kms a stretch. I understand the 3.5l will be more than adequate for this.

My question is around the tow bar ratings. Are all of the factory fitted towbars rated for 2500kg? Or did they offer a light and heavy duty option? If so, is there a way to tell what the rating is?

By law there is a plate affixed to the towbar somewhere with the capacity listed.
Stick your head up under there and you'll see it...
