When I was looking at this for my NM/NP, the cover had to be removed, we bought a Thule 9503 carrier as our mountain bike didn't have top cross bars.NP 05 Platinum Edition, 3.2 DiD Auto, Extra H/D 50mm Kings, Garmin GPS, Waeco 40, Turbo Smart Boost Gauge, Lambwool Covers, Kumo Tyres, Rock Sliders Pending, Surrey Downs Adelaide Sth Aust. -
I use a similar bike rack on my gen 2 (wig no spare tire cover).
I find that it slowly slips one the tire and rotates.
I emagine, even if the bike rack did fit with the cover on, the bike rack would damage the cover's paint/finish and the cover's smooth surface would allow the rack to rotate easily.Silver NT VRX Di-D
