a lot were imported from japan, there are a lot more around than people realize and being in queensland there will be plenty of compliancers who can do the paperwork to get it here. I know you can bring vehicles from new Guinea one of my celicas started life there before i bought it' ( i didnt bring it in though , i just bought it here)

I think if you have owned it for some time abroad, different rules apply. Ask a shipping company, but I would not bother so many around so cheap.

If you have owned it for more than one year and you have been living and using it abroad you can bring it in as a personal import. The shipping, import duty, GST taxes, port handling fees, AQIS inspections, compliance, roadworthy and stamp duty make it pretty expensive though!

All up would cost me about $6G on the road if it were possible to bring it in under personal import. How must would a similar model cost if I could find one in australia.

                  cheers,

I think it would be worth the 6k to bring it in, knowing what it is capable of and that nothing is wrong with it.
