Etc etc, how do you go with the spare fitting?
Looking at your signature, your vehicle seems to be set up for towing, which suggests you might have a spare wheel lift kit. Is this correct?

These lift kits, in addition to lifting the spare wheel 50mm or so, will also move the spare wheel out by around 20mm - this is the bit that normally causes clearance issues with the spare wheel cover.

Hi, yes it does have a spare wheel lift kit, I purchased it with all the mods already added, it was set up for towing and it came out if WA, so that makes sense to me now, so I need to be mindful which tyres I purchase, that other Pajero I saw that had the OPATs didn’t have the spare wheel lift kit so hence why it had a lot of clearance. Like I said the KOs just squeeze in, so the KO2 won’t fit. I have been looking at OPATs and Cooper AT3s which look to have a similiar sidewall profile to the KOs, but I will discuss this with the tyre dealership prior to purchasing.

Just an FYI, when I bought my Toyo AT2 265/65/17, cost was about $265 F&B. going to a 265/70/17 was and extra $80 per tyre, couldn't justify the extra $400 for the set of 5!!!!

That is cheap for the 70 profile!!! I checked a couple places when I was looking (my regular tyre guy was as shocked as me!) and they were all the same. I will stick to my bricks and mortar shop though.

Yeh agree, certain products best left to bricks and mortar, I donít mind paying extra for peace and mind. I have about 5000km left on two of my tyres, so I will keep an eye out for the next 6 months across all the usual tyre dealerships for the specials, still keen on either the Opats, Pirreli Scorpions or Cooper At3s. Not interested in upgrading from the KOs to KO2s

Are you sure the difference didn't include P vs LT construction?

Both LT, I double checked!!!! That was over 12 months ago, maybe things have since changed. Both places said supply and demand, 265/65/17 is standard size for many 4x4 manufacturers so they sell mobs of them. 70 profile mainly for people who ask for it, not a common standard manufacturer size.

Toyo do not make/list the 265/65R17 is a passenger construction, both the 65 & 70 series are LT construction.
