Poor design, poor manufacturing techniques and poor installation are all contributing factors.
Problem is no one wants to take notice of the metallurgist and structural engineers that specialise in these areas. If you continue to strengthen and stiffen failing components then the failure point is just transferred somewhere else. All brands of 4wds with and without aftermarket accessories have fatigue failures. This was happening for decades and will continue to happen. Bullbars, roof racks, battery boxes, rear bars, driving lights, spare wheel carriers, fuel and water tanks, shocker and strut mounts, underbody guards and radio antennas and or the structures they are attached to will continue to fail.

Bent back, winched many more times & bounced across Asia.

ARB bar x 2 bounced up stock route broke 2 x cars.

TJM in my opinion mounts better than ARB.

The rest is your choice
Thank you Jason, this is a strong evidence and I may give MCC a go, as it's still $100-200 cheaper than the ARB one.

From Kumabear's case I can't really tell which factor contributed the most actually, as the installation missed one bolt on each side, that's a huge drawback for the strength. Had they done the installation right, the failure probably would not happen.
I guess Kumabear got them change the brackets with the same bar, so it should be alright unless Kumabear posts about it again. Anyway I am not considering OL, as they are quoted $2700 fitted, $400 more than ARB asks for.
