Well done, always a relief being able to close the doors for the last time before a trip. Putting your packed vehicle into a container before shipping it overseas must really focus the mind on making sure you have everything. Where are you heading for after making landfall in Mozambique?

Cheers,
Stephen

Last photos in Oz, thanks to bakerboy for the photo.

Also got my landing slip, I was able to shave 130kg of weight from the wagon.

Seeing that screen capture reminds me of a project I was working a few years back. Tight timeframes, hugely important deadline, we had containers of key materials coming from China. Our procurement team were tracking the ship, which called in to Singapore, then started heading west towards India.

The containers had been offloaded, and was waiting for the next ship to bring it to Aus, but the freight company hadn't explained that minor detail in advance.

Of course, they also expected the containers to be off-loaded in Port Hedland, where the project was. But no, the ship sailed straight on to Freo, where all the contents had to be removed from the containers and loaded onto flatbeds - we didn't have equipment to empty the containers on site. None of which had been allowed in our tight schedule.

Working without a strict schedule sounds like bliss.

I had to get 11-12cm out of mine. more than I could get away with deflating my tyres. mainly due to 18" rims.

oh well, easy enough to put the tent on at the location.
