Roof rack options and help

Hi all,

I recently bought a 2007 NS exceed and I want to put on a roof rack (basket). I am wondering has anyone done this and have any tips on how to go about it? The NS has the racks that run parallel with the car not across making mounting a bit more difficult.

I am looking at a few racks available from kings (4WD supercentre) but they look like they are mainly for gutter mounts on cars.

I have rhino sports roof racks and mounted a kings basket to it using d/t bolts in the channels to mount the basket. Only difficult part is the kings mounting points are not perfectly straight so it takes a bit of wriggling of the bolts to get the nuts on to lock down. The newer baskets have a much more vertical side bars I think so it’s better to mount an awning to it if that’s what you would want to do later on
