    HBB motor in the NT?

    Hi guys

I used to have a NP pajero 3,2TD and had to replace the HBB motor.

I am now in the market for a NT.

How is the HBB unit in the NT? Would I have to do something similar to a high mileage example?

How about the oil pressure sensor which was a common issue in the NP? Is it also common in the NT?

    Cheers.

HBB stands for Hydraulic Brake Booster unit.

It is basically the motor (pump) that pressurizes the brake fluid instead of the old brake booster found in most other cars.

The trouble with the HBB pump is that like all pumps, brushes wear out and when it does you loose your brakes..

        G'day rykiel

I haven't heard much issues with the HBB or the oil pressue sensor in the NT. Perhaps its due to the fact they aren't as old as the NP or perhaps a redesign due to past problems.

That said found this post beloe.
