hi every one ..

i have a 2008 SWB 3.8 Pajero GLS in Middle East ( Oman ) and looking for a solution of the tiptronic gear as its shifts it self from 1st to 2nd when the RPM reaches to the red area
( about 5500 or 6000 )

the Old models were not shifting it self and it remains at the begin of red area in RPM .. i know this is for engine safety but it annoys me while climbing the sandy hills .. as soon as it shifts to 2nd it dies in the middle of the hill..and i have to drive reverse back
i have checked in Mitsubidhi dealer but it seems they dont know what am talking about !!

any good solution ??

have an after market tuner modify the shift pattern for you..

Why not just shift to low in automatic mode. it should hold then

it doesnt hold in 1st .. even if i re shift again from 2nd to 1st .. it will go to 2nd again if it reaches to red area..

it does hold in 1st but in previous models .. but not 2008
