G'day guys,
Just thought I'd share some fuel consumption figures from our annual pilgrimage to the finke desert race this year.
Took our nx (gls) this time. Mods are: arb deluxe bull bar, ipf hid lights, uhf, pioneer platform with factory rails removed, cargo barrier, 265-60-18 mickey Thompson stz boots. Fitted a set of 35mm lifted coils to the standard rear shocks just for the trip.
Car fully loaded, fridge, ark pack, rear well full of fire wood ect. Roof rack chockers about 450-500mm high.
Departed 45mins n/w Melbourne, total distance 4850kms in 7 days. Sat on state/territory limits ie 110 and 130 in n.t. Did actual speed not what the speedo reads.

Average 11.64
Also worth noting, 200km of this was in 4h on the sand with 30 psi in the tyres.
