Thanks guys!

I also see this kit is available. Fair bit cheaper than the Dayco....is Dayco the brand to get?

If thinking of doing it yourself, go the Dayco or genuine. If getting it done leave up to the service centre, as they have warrent and chase up supplier if there is a warrenty claim. $1500-$1600 sounds ok for full kit and service.

Got the MM dealer to do the lot with the full Dayco kit. $1500.

To those that have done it themselves. How hard are the old seals to pick out? Mines done 85K now and I'm rounding up the bits to replace the belts and idlers at 90K. Looks like I'll use a Dayco kit.

What seals are you referring to ?. I only did the belts at 100k. Idlers where in good condition. and IMO not required at 100k. The hardest part is the crankshaft pulley if considering doing yourself. I made up jig with a long arm that bolts to the pulley and allows you too undo the bolt. Im due for 200k (210k i left the 100k a bit late) and will be doing full kit and water pump.

If its the crankshaft seal you are referring, i would not bother at the 100k. Im not going to bother at 200k unless signs of oil......'if it ain't broke'. Levering the old one out would be ok, but it would be pain to tap a new one in, unless you have a hoist. Rear crank seals tend to go before front ones.

Thats a good price IMO. I just did 200k service ( doing belts at 210k) and oils filters cost $350. Engine oil/filter, power steering fluid flush/replace, auto trans fluid flush/replace and fuel filter. Took about 2-3 hrs including picking up parts etc so say $300 labour min. Theres $650-$700 to just replace a few fluids.
