[SA] Murray Mouth Sat 7th December

OK, so not a lot of notice, but some of us are heading to the mouth of the Murray for a pre-Christmas get together, and thought we'd throw it open to the forum. A bbq / lunch / responsible drink or two, all at the mercy of weather conditions on the day.

Typically, we nominate one or two meet points for Adelaide residents who would like to travel in convoy, and others meet at Goolwa Beach - time TBA. I like to head down a little earlier, and have breakfast at the Aqua Caf before meeting up - always happy for others to join me.

Goolwa is easy beach driving, can be done at highway pressures but lowering tyre pressures is easier on the car, and on the beach.

The tides on the day are very friendly - 0.7m and below from mid-morning to after dark. NFI what this means for fishing - perhaps somebody else can chime in?

    Who's in?
NT Platinum. DiD Auto with 265/70R17 ST Maxx, Lift, Lockers, Lockup Mate, Low range reduction, LRA Aux tank, bull bar, winch, lots of touring stuff. Flappy paddles. MMCS is gone!

Project: NJ SWB. 285/75R16 ST Maxx, 2" OME suspension, 2" body lift, ARB 110, 120l tank, bullbar, scratches, no major dents. Fully engineered in SA. NW DiD & auto in place - a long way to go....

              Only one fresh participant?

I promise not everybody in the group is like me. Some of them are actually nice!

Come on - it's only a little simple beach driving, with very friendly tides. What's the worst that could happen?

I'm not aware that we'll have any Challengers on the day.

That's fine. Pete has to work the morning, not likely to reach the mouth until 12:30 ish. So if you arrive after that, there will be a Vitara to save the Challenger.

So, we have a few meet options for the day.

                          2. Another group will be meeting at the bottom of the freeway at 8:45. https://goo.gl/maps/AFNRvTXPno3LyU3M9

                          3. Rendezvous at the carpark at Goolwa Beach at 10:00.

                          4. Find us at the Murray Mouth.
