Default New RYCO Catch can kit?

I either read or watched a review of this over Christmas (canít remember which) and the reviewer didnít like that to empty the canister you have to reach under the unit to open a valve, ie directly on the bottom of the unit, and itís quite tight in some circumstances to get your hand under there. As opposed to the ProVent where (I at least) just lie next to the driver door, head under, cut a couple of cable ties and drain it.

I have just bought one of these kits, got it during Super cheap Boxing Day sale. It bigger than I expected. The kit is very nicely put together, Iíll get some pics of the install once I get time to install.

The kit I have bought has a drain Hose and valve. Maybe the basic kit doesnít come with this.

Is the valve located at the bottom of the unit? Or at the bottom of the drain hose?

It has a valve at the bottom of the hose. You can install without this and have to pull the unit out to drain.

Hi all,

Just a DIY installed one of these Ryco catch cans (RCC350K) yesterday on a PB Challenger - will have to buy the hoses to complete the install.

se thicker flat bar for vertical bracket to increase rigidity (I think I used 3mm). Will have to measure up a cross bracing or add cable ties.
- Heat up the alu. flat bar before bending. I used a regular lighter flame.
- May require some protection from vibration and rubbing on brake lines, etc

Are there improvements I can make? Happy to receive any feedback.

Hope these pics give someone some ideas.
