Default EGR Blanking Plate Failure.

Robert,

Is there a problem with your EGR blanking plates for the NT & NW Pajero's?

It 's reported by another member of this forum, that his started to break up with a noticable full thickness crack. It was sent back to Chipit for analysis. What was the result?

I have recently installed one of your blanking plates in my NT and don't want to risk a major turbo or engine failure because of a $40 modification.

Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim

thanks for bringing the thread to my attention.

I have had mine fitted for 25,000 kms and it was fine.

Also I made a mod to my throttle butter fly which allowed me the fit a fully blanked off version of the plate. That's been on for 30,000 kms and it was fine when I looked at it yesterday.

If you wish to see what yours is like, take the time (10mins) to inspect it and report back to me.

Cheers
