They're both 50mm ext reach(590mm extended).

It's not just the brakeline it's also the rear tailshaft angle at full travel and the trailing arm to chassis mount as the droop stop is in the shock.

there are enough people running the longer shocks with minimal dramas, apart from brakes i'd be looking at coil retainersIf I agreed with you, then we would both be wrong

Have a look at m1sery's thread, all the info about long travel shocks can be found there. Either shock will be suitable I reckon, just need to watch the binding on the trailing arm.1997 NK - Quad cam goodness turning 33 Duratrac's and 4.9 diffs, 2inch lift, steel front/sides/rear, front locker and a winch

I did a fair bit of homework on rear shocker measurements before I bought my Ultima shockers for when I put my GQ springs in.

I went the Terracan because I don't want the suspension a full 3.5-4" higher, so I'm going to trim the GQ springs, and the shorter Shocker will keep the spring captive at full droop. The one drama I've come up against is the lower mounting pin for the Pajero is an M16 bolt, whereas the Terracan runs an M20. So I've either got to find another ferrul/crush tube for the lower rubber, or replacement rubber bushes to suit the original furrels, or drill out the holes in the shocker mount on the diff and get some M20 Hi-tensile bolts to suit. The only problem I have with this last option would be no going back to original Pajero shockers.Last edited by Yonnee; 29-07-12, 03:56 PM."So many projects, so little time... even less money!"
