I am able to make the plug-n-play patch loom to place between the D-223 plug and the ASTC ECU. I can make two types as follows:
TC-On Type 1: Uses a DPDT relay (NC terminals) that intercepts, so to speak, the green-white and gray wires when a switch is used to charge the coil. This type obviously requires you to supply your own switch (can get them from Air On Board eBay shop for the factory look), as well as an add-a-circuit fuse tap to tap into an existing ignition fuse.
TC-On Type 2: Does not use a relay and instead, have the corresponding header pins removed and the green-white and gray wires removed from the D-223 plug.
Cost:
TC-On Type 1: $66.00.
TC-On Type 2: $60.00.
I can also make the TC off patch loom with a wire teed off the gray wire as follows:
TC-Off Type 1: Uses a SPST relay (NO terminals) that will ground the gray wire if switched on and activated via a switch.
TC-Off Type 2: Does not use a relay and simply uses a switch to ground the gray wire. This way, the switch will not light up to show it is on.
Cost:
TC-Off Type 1: $66.
TC-Off Type 2: $60.
The illumination line needs to be spliced into one of the following wires:
1. Green with white stripe or the black with yellow stripe wires of the reversing sensor cancel switch.
2. Green with white stripe or black with yellow stripe wires of the ASC off switch.
3. Green with white stripe or black with yellow stripe wires of the rear diff lock switch.
Another way to get illumination is to use another add-a-circuit fuse tap to get power from fuse #24 in the engine bay (position and tail lamp fuse) and then drag it into the cabin. Need to test to see if this has power all the time or only when switched on.
I can combine the TC-On and TC-Off mods into one patch loom as well:
Type 1 of both: $72.
Type 1 of one and Type 2 of the other: $66. You basically get the Type 2 for free.
Type 2 of both: $60.
DISCLAIMER: I hold no responsibility for the use and issues arisen from its use.
Postage is $10. I can accept combined postage as well.
Minimum orders of 10 to reduce the cost of postage to get the plugs, headers and pins.

INSTRUCTIONS TO GET ACCESS TO THE ASTC ECU
- Pop the centre vents (pop the bottom first and then the top). Careful not to lose the white clips otherwise you will have to find it at the bottom somewhere. Disconnect the hazard switch from the right one.
- Pull out the stereo surround by grabbing onto it firmly and pulling towards you with a sharp yank. Also pull out the climate control panel and disconnect two plugs.
- Pop the silver trims (2 short ones either side of the steering wheel and one long one on the passenger side) and unscrew the three screws on the passenger side.
- Pop end panels and remove.
- Loosen the lower steering shroud/panel (two bolts with screw head so can use a screw driver, one is left of the stability control button and the other is in the fuse panel so need to remove the fuse panel cover) and then pull out (there should be some clips) the top of the shroud/panel.
- Unscrew the screw that can be seen once the above shroud/panel is pried apart.
- Remove glove box (unhook to retaining piston and then squeeze the side panels of the glove box to unhook it and then unhook it at the bottom.
- Pop the scrivet and remove the bolt at the bottom right of the glove box surround. Note that this bolt can be used as ground.
- Pry apart the glovebox surround to access the other screw that secures the centre surround.
- Shift gear to D and pull out the centre surround (some more clips).
- Unscrew the card holder panel from the inside (two screws on driver's side and one on passenger side).
- The ASTC ECU can now be accessed and switch panel fitted.
- Re-assemble in reverse order. Note that the stereo surround needs to be fitted before the climate control panel.

Vlad
