    just did heads now wont start flooded with fuel why?

    i just did the heads on my car but now it tried to start but then stopped i noticed the spark plugs all flooded with fuel why .can anyone help with this

    thats pretty breif info mate.

    maybe you have no spark and the plugs are just getting wet as there is nothing to burn the fuel off?

      Sounds like an earthing problem maybe. ensure your havn't left the ground lead of the engine. Sometimes attached to the head.

      Then. Check spark.

        With the verry little info given it sounds like it could be anything.
        Did it start at all ? and then stall ?
        Is the cam timing correct ?
        Is the ignition timing correct ?
        Are the plug leads in the correct order ?
        Is there spark ?

          maybe one of the senior members should take a look?
          I hope you have one of the re-build it yourself service manuals. They are really pretty thorough and, assuming you have followed all the instructions, should go.

          Or maybe I just fluked it with mine! hehe

          If you need a hand I am sure some of us will help This sounds like and 'in person' job to eliminate the possibilities

            hi i just did my heads and if the dissy isnt in the exact spot it wont work.on the bottom of the dissy housing there is a mark.line that mark up with the dot by the cog on the sharft this is crucial to the timing.if you have any problems let me no regards peter

              If you have got a timing light i woud be checking it first.
              I have done so much for so long with so little and now i can do so much more for much longer with my massive sidchrome tool box.

                thanks guy yes i have spark all timing marks in right spot i did have a repair manual i followed it just about started today then it flooded again if i could get help it would be great im in perth kwinana
